Care Philosophy: Dr. Nordstrom's philosophy for patient care is to have the primary goal of treatment remain patient-centered. He believes that the best care is achieved for each patient by focusing on his or her goals. Once this is understood, then a plan is developed that includes patient, family, surgeon and other dentists/physicians or care providers as required to provide optimal outcome and experience.

Biography: Dr. Ueeck is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon with a wide breadth of clinical experience. He was born and raised in Oregon’s Willamette Valley and moved to Seattle for his undergraduate studies. Shortly after graduation, he married his wife Melissa and they enjoyed traveling throughout Asia and Europe. He then enrolled in Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) and earned both of his dental and medical degrees, and completed a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery. After residency, Dr. Ueeck joined the faculty at OHSU where his primary focus was complex surgical cases and the education of the oral and maxillofacial surgery residents. After his time at OHSU Dr. Ueeck entered private practice in Portland, Oregon where he practiced until 2018. During the time when Dr. Ueeck and Dr. Nordstrom were both at OHSU, they developed a close friendship. Dr. Ueeck and his wife transitioned out of Portland in the fall of 2018 and Dr. Ueeck started working at Alaska Center for Oral + Facial Surgery. A chief area of surgical interest to Dr. Ueeck is orthognathic and cleft surgery. He worked at Shriners Hospital for Children on the cleft lip and palate team for many years and continues to travel internationally to help children in developing nations affected with cleft and other facial conditions. Locally, Dr. Ueeck volunteers with Medical Teams International, Compassion Connect, and Mission of Mercy. Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Ueeck also lectures frequently on various topics such as orthognathic surgery (corrective jaw surgery), cleft lip and palate, head and neck cancer, medical emergencies, and dental implants. He contributes to the surgical literature by authoring articles and textbook chapters, as well as reviewing articles for publication in several of the surgical journals. He maintains several professional memberships in his surgical specialty, including the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Ueeck is the past chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Providence St. Vincent Hospital. He is also  the past Oregon state chairman for the committee on anesthesia where his primary responsibility was the oversight of office anesthesia safety. Outside his professional responsibilities Dr. Ueeck enjoys spending time with family and friends, skiing, fishing and most anything else outdoors.

Biography: <p>Dr. Haruki was born and raised in Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii. He left Kauai to attend Iolani School on Oahu when he was a teenager. After completing 12 years of graduate and post-graduate training on the mainland, Dr. Haruki returned to the islands – the only place he considers home – to establish the Pacific Maxillofacial Center in 1999. When not helping patients, Dr. Haruki spends as much time as possible with his two children, Brandon and Caroline, and his wife, Susan. He enjoys playing golf and tennis, and relaxing and laughing with friends.</p>

Biography: <p>Dr. Oishi grew up in Kaimuki. After 14 years of education and training across the mainland, Dr. Oishi is grateful to finally be able to settle down back home in Hawaii.Now, Dr. Oishi is proud to give back to the community through programs such as ``Give Kids a Smile``, and by serving as an on-call facial trauma surgeon at Queen's Medical Center.He spends his free time with his wife and their two boys, Gen and Cy. His most recent endeavor is to become fluent in Japanese with the help of his lovely wife Mia.</p>
