Biography: <p>Ravi Moonka, MD, is a specialist in diseases of the colon and rectum, including cancer, tumors, diverticulitis, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, rectal prolapse, ileostomy and colostomy reversal, and any other problem that can afflict the colon and rectum. Dr. Moonka is also an expert in the treatment of hernias, abdominal sarcomas, stomach cancer and gallstones.</p><p>Dr. Moonka lives to make his patient's lives better. Sometimes he makes them a little better and sometimes a lot better. He does other things with his time, but nothing is more important or brings him more satisfaction than that.&nbsp;</p> _x000D_ <p></p>

Biography: <p>Val Simianu, MD, specializes in surgery for conditions of the colon, rectum and anal canal, such as cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. He also treats pelvic floor problems such as prolapse and incontinence. He has specialty training in laparoscopic, robotic and trans-anal approaches for these conditions.</p>_x000D_ <p>Dr. Simianu works very closely with other specialists, such as gastroenterologists, oncologists, radiation oncologists and urogynecologists, to plan the best course of treatment for each patient. He enjoys playing a part in his patients' journeys to recovery.</p>_x000D_ <p>Beyond his clinical expertise, Dr. Simianu actively conducts research studies on colorectal cancer, diverticulitis, inflammatory bowel disease and pelvic health problems. He has a special interest in population health, health-services research and surgical education, and serves as the Medical Director of the colorectal service line for Virginia Mason Franciscan Health's Center for Digestive Health. </p>_x000D_ <p>Away from work, Dr. Simianu enjoys hiking, mountaineering, soccer, and traveling and exploring local cuisine with his wife.</p>

Care Philosophy: Dr. Coleman has completed specialty training in Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery. She focuses primarily on anti-reflux surgery and hiatal hernia repair. She also provides surgical care for breast cancer, colorectal surgery, melanoma, hernia, spleen, and adrenal disease.

Care Philosophy: Eugene Cho, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in laparoscopic procedures, with special interest in surgery for heartburn, hernias, gallstones, spleen and adrenal problems. Drawn to medicine for the ability to help others, Dr. Cho believes the most important aspect of care is educating his patients about their health problem and treatment options. Dr. Cho is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, and many others.

Care Philosophy: Shalini Kanneganti, MD, is a fellowship-trained surgeon specializing in the treatment of colon and rectal diseases. Her areas of expertise include the laparoscopic treatment of colon and rectal disease; diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy;surgical management of colon and rectal cancer; inflammatory bowel disease; diverticulitis; rectal prolapse; hemorrhoids; fecal incontinence; anal fissures; anal abscesses; and fistulas. Dr. Kanneganti endeavors to deliver care with the highest order of compassion and innovation. She is dedicated to healing patients through surgical intervention.
